Diretor artístico da Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo (OSESP) desde 2010, Arthur Nestrovski é compositor, escritor e violonista. Formado em música pela Universidade de York (Inglaterra) e Ph.D. em literatura e música pela Universidade de Iowa (EUA), Nestrovski foi professor titular da PUC/SP (1991 a 2005), e lançou diversos livros e artigos sobre música e canção, além de nove premiados livros infantis.

Voltou à atividade musical como violonista e compositor em 2004, apresentando-se e gravando com artistas como Zé Miguel Wisnik, Luiz Tatit, Zélia Duncan, Paula e Jaques Morelenbaum, no Brasil e no exterior. Lançou, entre outros, os CDs solo JOBIM VIOLÃO (Biscoito Fino, 2009), CHICO VIOLÃO (Biscoito Fino, 2010) e o DVD O FIM DA CANÇÃO (SESC, 2013), ao lado de Luiz Tatit e Zé Miguel Wisnik. Em 2016 saiu o CD PÓS VOCÊ E EU, um dueto de voz e violão com a cantora Lívia Nestroviski. Em parceria com Lívia e Zé Miguel Wisnik, também apresenta MORTAL LOUCURA, concerto a respeito do universo da canção brasileira.

São Paulo Symphony Orchestra (OSESP) artistic director since 2010, Arthur Nestrovski is a composer, writer and guitar player. He graduated in Music at the University of York (England); and he holds a Ph.D. in Music and Literature from Iowa University (USA). A tenured lecturer at the Graduate College of PUC/São Paulo from 1991 to 2005, he is the author of many books and articles about music and Brazilian song, among other books – including nine prize-winning titles for children.

He returned to professional work as a guitar player and composer in 2004, and has since played next to Zé Miguel Wisnik, Tom Zé, and Zélia Duncan, among other top Brazilian artists. He has 2 albums solo recorded: JOBIM VIOLÃO (2009) and CHICO VIOLÃO (featuring the music of Chico Buarque, 2011) and the DVD O FIM DA CANÇÃO ("The end of song", 2012), alongside Luiz Tatit and Zé Miguel Wisnik. In 2016 the CD PÓS VOCÊ E EU ("After you and me") was released, a duet with singer Lívia Nestrovski. In partnership with Lívia and Zé Miguel Wisnik also presents MORTAL LOUCURA ("Mortal madness"), a concert about the Brazilian song universe.
