Ava Rocha tem um caminho que parece sempre fluir para diferentes tipos de arte. Filha de dois cineastas, desde nova teve proximidade com o cinema. Seus trabalhos na área acabaram levando ao teatro e em 2006 ela fez filmagens da peça "Os sertões", de José Celso Martinez Corrêa. E foi no teatro que ela começou a considerar mais a sério uma outra carreira, a de cantora. Quase dez anos depois desse momento, Ava lança seu primeiro disco solo, AVA PATRYA YNDIA YRACEMA, que recebeu o Prêmio Multishow de Artista Revelação. De sonoridade próxima do tropicalismo, Ava Rocha mistura MPB e grooves afros, amazônicos, poesia, distorções, suavidade e improvisos, com performance intensa marcada pela voz rara, doce e poderosa da intérprete.

Ava Rocha has a path that always seems to flow to different types of art. Daughter of two filmmakers (Glauber Rocha and Paula Gaitán), she´s been in contact with cinema, since she was a child. Her work in the field, ended up leading her to the theater and in 2006 she made shots of "Os Sertões", by José Celso Martinez Corrêa. And it was in the theater that she began to consider more seriously another career: the singer one. Nearly ten years after that moment, Ava releases her first solo album, AVA PATRYA YNDIA YRACEMA, winning the Multishow Award for Breakthrough Artist. Sounding close to tropicalism, Ava Rocha mixes MPB with Afro and Amazonian grooves, poetry, distortions, mellowness and improvisations. Her intense performance features rare, sweet and powerful voice.
