LUIZ TATIT
O paulistano Luiz Tatit é compositor, intérprete, violonista, acadêmico e escritor. Um dos mentores do inventivo grupo paulistano “Rumo”, formado em 1974 e consagrado a partir do seu primeiro disco nos anos 80, revolucionou o cenário da música popular brasileira com o chamado ‘canto falado’. É também professor Titular do Departamento de Linguística da Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo, autor de diversos livros. Tem 7 álbuns autorais e 3 DVDs lançados, e suas composições foram gravadas importantes intérpretes da música brasileira, entre os quais, Ná Ozzetti, Zélia Duncan, Ney Matogrosso, Leila Pinheiro, Vânia Bastos, Daúde e Jussara Silveira.
PALAVRAS E SONHOS é seu mais recente álbum, que fala dos sonhos que alimentam a criação e das palavras que geram sonhos por contar com a inebriante ação da melodia e do acompanhamento instrumental.
Luiz Tatit is a composer, performer, guitar player, academic and writer from Sao Paulo. One of the creators of the inventive São Paulo group “Rumo”, formed in 1974 and renown since its first album in the 1980s; it revolutionized the landscape of Brazilian popular music with the so-called 'spoken song'. Besides being a Professor in the Department of Linguistics of the University of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo, he is the author of several books. He has released 7 solo albuns and 3 DVDs, and his compositions have been recorded by important Brazilian artists, such as Ná Ozzetti, Zélia Duncan, Ney Matogrosso, Leila Pinheiro, Vânia Bastos, Daúde and Jussara Silveira.
His latest album PALAVRAS E SONHOS ("Words and dreams", 2016) examines about the dreams that nourish creation and the words that generate dreams by relying on the intoxicating action of melody and instrumental accompaniment.
