Negro Leo é músico maranhense radicado inicialmente no Rio de Janeiro e atualmente residente em São Paulo. Lançou 8 discos autorais, entre eles NIÑOS HEROES que lhe rendeu matéria no "The New York Times" e na "Playboy" americana, e ACTION LEKKING, seu último disco, que lhe rendeu indicações ao prêmio APCA, matérias em importantes veículos internacionais especializados em música, como "The List", "Chicago Reader" e "Bandcamp". Negro Leo já se apresentou em palcos prestigiados no mundo, como Cafe Oto (UK) e Festival Nrmal (CDMX). Recentemente produziu a trilha sonora Coisado em parceria com instituições alemãs. Atualmente está excursionando com o show de seu último álbum, ACTION LEKKING.

Negro Leo is a musician and composer from Maranhão, Brazil, living nowadays in São Paulo, Brazil. He released 8 albuns since 2012. NIÑOS HEROES (2015/QTV) captured the attention of Ben Ratlif (The New York Times), Noah Berlatsky (Playboy Magazine) and Iggy Pop. His last album ACTION LEKKING Action Lekking (2017/CIRCUS-QTV) appeared on Stewart Smith's (The List) and Peter Margasak's (Chicago Reader) lists. Negro Leo has played in some important stages around the world like Cafe Oto (London-UK), Festival NRMAL (CDMX-MX) and Counterflow Festival (Glasgow-UK). Lately, he composed a soundtrack to an exhibition, COISADO, which was possible due to a partnership among some germany institutions such Forberg Schnider, Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt and Goethe Institut.
